In 2008 after completing a degree in industrial economics at University Of Nottingham, I set up an events company with our current directors which provided events throughout the globe, building nationally recognised night time brands where I gained invaluable experience working both in house and externally promoting, marketing & managing events for a range of different venues – from 3,000 person nightclub events to small corporate working lunches & banqueting of up to 1000 people. This will be my 12th year in the industry.

I moved into the wedding industry managing a number of different successful venues in the south east, building two up from scratch. During one summer I oversaw 65 weddings on the trot and managed 200 weddings & events that year. I saw the challenges and opportunities of the industry first hand, implementing strategies for sales & marketing to ensure venues were busy throughout the year. This is where Wedding Booker was born. 

The challenge that the industry faces post Covid is significant but the opportunity is exciting.
